Day 2

Exploring Amman and Jerash

Begin your day with a private guide who will lead you on a captivating tour of Amman. Enjoy a brief coffee break at a café with views of the Temple of Hercules and the Citadel. Explore the Roman Theater and the Citadel, then wander through the bustling old markets in the downtown area. Don't miss the chance to taste knafeh, a local delicacy, at the renowned Habibah Sweets. Next, journey to the ancient Roman Decapolis city of Gerasa, now known as Jerash, situated approximately 45 km north of Amman in the lush Gilead region. Walk along the ancient streets lined with columns, passing by the historic theater, baths, hilltop temple, and triumphal arch. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 3

Discovering Mt. Nebo and Wadi Rum

Travel to Mt. Nebo, offering panoramic views of the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. This site is traditionally considered the burial place of Moses, although no tomb has been discovered. The church here features exquisite mosaics from the 6th century. Continue to Madaba, famed for its remarkable Byzantine mosaics, and visit St. George’s Cathedral to view the oldest surviving map of the Holy Land, depicted in a 6th-century mosaic floor. Proceed to Wadi Rum and settle into our desert camp. Before dinner, enjoy a one-hour sunset camel ride. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Once the stronghold and capital of the Nabataeans for approximately 400 years, Petra fell under Roman control in 106 A.D. Begin your journey on horseback, transitioning to foot travel through the deep, narrow passages sculpted by millennia of erosion. As you emerge from the canyon, the Treasury, Petra’s most renowned monument, stands majestically before you, marking the start of an unforgettable adventure. Delve into the remnants left by both the Nabataeans and Romans. For the more adventurous, a hike to the spiritual "High Place" is offered, where the sacrificial altar provides a breathtaking vantage point over the ancient city and its surroundings. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6

Departure

You will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for your departure flight.
