Welcome to Marrakech! Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, your private driver will greet you and transfer you approximately 20 minutes to your chosen accommodation in the heart of Marrakech. Spend the rest of your day at leisure soaking up the city’s vibrant atmosphere and unique charm.

Day 2

Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Marrakech

Stay again at La Maison Arabe or Riad Dar Justo for an authentic luxury experience. Embark on a private guided walking tour of Marrakech’s historic sites. Visit the beautifully decorated 16th-century Saadian Tombs, wander through the atmospheric old Kasbah and Jewish Quarter, and marvel at the exquisite craftsmanship of the Bahia Palace, featuring intricate zellij tilework and finely carved cedar ceilings. After breakfast, travel across the scenic High Atlas Mountains via Morocco’s highest pass, Tizi n’Tichka (approx. 3.5 hours), en route to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. Explore the ancient hilltop ksar, a stunning example of traditional Moroccan earthen architecture and a historical caravan stop. Ait Benhaddou has starred in iconic films and series such as Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones, and Gladiator. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the famous Atlas Film Studios to learn about Morocco’s vibrant movie industry. Enjoy dinner at your hotel in Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate to Zagora and Chegaga Desert Oasis

After breakfast, journey deeper into southern Morocco through the dramatic Jbel Saghro Mountains and lush Draa Valley (approx. 1 hour), dotted with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Reach Zagora (approx. 1.5 hours) with free time for lunch in a local kasbah (not included). Continue towards the town of M’Hamid, passing the intriguing village of Tamegroute, home to a historic library with ancient Islamic manuscripts and a unique underground kasbah renowned for its ceramic pottery industry. Arrive late afternoon at the majestic Erg Chegaga Dunes, Africa’s vast and stunning sand seas with dunes reaching up to 150 meters.
